PayMaya bounces back after 0-3 upset, recaptures top ranking

Following a straight-set defeat to league favorites Creamline, PayMaya regrouped and vanquished Iriga-Navy, handing the Lady Oragons their first loss in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Season 2 Reinforced Conference 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, at the Batangas City Sports Complex Coliseum.
The victory puts PayMaya at the top of the PVL rankings with three wins, one loss.
After a close first set, the Lady Oragons tied the match with a Set 2 victory. The High Flyers regained control in Set 3 with impressive outings from Shelby Sullivan, Tess Rountree, Aiko Urdas, and Jerrili Malabanan.
The Lady Oragons eked out a 22-19 lead in Set 4 before the High Flyers rallied 5-0. A service error from Shyrra Cabriana sealed the Lady Oragons’ fate, ending the critical set 25-23.
Rountree led the charge for the High Flyers with a conference-high 24 markers, while Sullivan and Urdas contributed 11 points each. #FlyHighPayMaya
