Fortunately, we have the best hangover cures you’ll need to start the next day on the right foot!

Ingredients:

  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  • Vanilla Yogurt
  • Almonds
  • Granola

Directions:

In a bowl or tall clear glass, layer blueberries, strawberries, yogurt, and granola.

Top it off with almonds.

Why it works:

Almonds give your body a boost of magnesium, promoting better enzyme function and preventing further dehydration.

The Cure: Kale and Banana Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups of chopped kale
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon maple syru
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • A dash of nutmeg
Directions: Put all the ingredients into a blender and puree until smooth.
Why it works:
Alcohol triggers frequent urination, expelling not only large amounts of liquid from your body but also sodium and potassium, which regulate proper nerve and muscle function. Adding flaxseed to the mix helps stabilize your blood sugar.

Ingredients:
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon grated cheese (optional)
  • A pinch of salt/pepper

    Directions:

Preheat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat
Crack the eggs over a small bowl and whisk the eggs. Season the eggs with salt and pepper then set aside.
Add the spinach and tomatoes to the pan, and toss until wilted (around 2 minutes).
Add your egg mixture to the pan and stir occasionally until set (around 1 minute).
Add cheese while pan is hot.
Why it works:
Greasy food induces nausea and vomiting when you’re hung over. Skipping it will help control your headaches and prevent further dehydration. Eggs contain cysteine, an amino acid that helps break down toxins from alcohol. The meal also contains spinach and tomatoes (which contain antioxidants and potassium) that help restore lost electrolytes.

Ingredients:
  • 4 to 5 cups water
  • 1/2 cup chopped greens, fresh or frozen (like spinach, chard, or kale)
  • 2 scallions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cubed firm tofu (can sub other protein like chicken)
  • 3 tablespoon white miso paste

    Directions:
Bring the water to a simmer in a saucepan over medium heat.
While the water is heating up, place the miso paste and 2 tablespoons of hot water in a separate bowl. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
Add the greens, scallions, and tofu to the water and let it cook for 5 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and add in the miso.
Let cook for another 5 minutes and serve.
Season to taste with salt, pepper, or Sriracha.
Why it works:
The soup itself contains fluids, protein, sodium, and antioxidants to help you rehydrate and replenish the healthy bacteria you lost. The miso paste also helps regulate your digestion and flushes out the alcohol in your system.
